Facts about Organ Donation
Each day almost 100,000 people are waiting for a life-saving organ
transplant.
Nationwide, 17 people will die each day because of the shortage of
donors.
Each person who consents to being a donor can
save up to seven lives.
There is no age limit to being a donor.
Organs that can be transplanted: heart, liver, kidneys (2), lungs,
pancreas, small intestine.

Facts about Tissue Donation
A gift of tissue can help restore health to people in need of bone
grafts, ACL, rotator cuff or other tendon repairs, dental implants,
skin grafts and heart valves.
Each year, LifeNet Health provides more than 300,000 grafts for both
traumatic and emergent medical surgeries and elective surgical and
dental procedures.
Each tissue donor can impact the health of up to 200 people.
There is no age limit to being a tissue donor.
